Our Aims
The purpose of 'VADM Centre for Ethnic Minority Mental Health' (hereafter the Centre)' is improve access to and availability of, primary mental health care to those minority ethnic people living and/or working in south London who fear and/or mistrust statutory mental health care services, or feel that the statutory mental health care services provided do not meet their needs. The 'Centre' will provide an ethnically and culturally sensitive mental health Helpline, Information and Advocacy, Mental Health Education, and Counselling & Psychotherapy service, and underpin our service provision on evidence from mental health research conducted at the Centre.
To this end, we would like to invite you to contact us should you be feeling sad, anxious, or emotional distressed, and require psychological help and support in dealing with difficult situations. We can help with most issues, but if we can not, we will help you to find someone that can.
